It is important to note that you will need to know the basics of reading notation as the guitar music is written in normal melodic musical notation and does not use tablature, chords or chord symbols. They are written to encourage soloists and promote the reading of music.
Easy Pieces for Guitar
These easy pieces are written for guitar, a stringed musical instrument widely used in music styles across the world. Usually six stringed, but twelve string and others are available, the acoustic guitar is often used in flamenco, classical music and folk. The electric guitar originates from the 20th century and is common in popular music, rock bands and groups, etc. Music for guitar is written using standard musical notation in the treble clef, but sometimes is seen abbreviated to guitar tablature.
Although not designed as absolute starter pieces, the music student of a solo guitar will find these relatively easy to play. They require only an early knowledge of your instrument and sheet music notation but are fun, without the need for a piano accompanist as the accompaniment is supplied already recorded. They are aimed at any age of student and as a resource for music teachers.
